Screening of 'Mia' (2001)

Leticia Sabsay will be introducing and commenting the screening of "Mia", an Argentine film directed by Javier van der Couter (2011), which features the life of a demure transgender woman, who is one of the inhabitants of Villa Rosa, a marginalised community for queer people and outcasts perched on the outskirts of Buenos Aires. 

The screening is part of the series ‘Staging the Future: Argentine Films in Dialogue’, coordinated by Dr Cecilia Sosa at the Institute of the Americas.
