Tara Atluri will be speaking at the London Southbank University Gender and Education Association Biennial Conference 2013.
April 23-26, 2013

She will present a paper titled "Can I see your papers Miss? Passports and PHDS."  This talk deals with the relationship between gendered bodies, border security and the educational system.  In particular, this work questions the gendered and racialised impact of increasingly stringent visa requirements for students and academics within the UK and other parts of Europe.
